A Finnish-born designer Petra Kaksonen designs minimalist, cheerful textiles for modern homes and spaces. Petra calls her design philosophy a Nordic Wabi-Sabi: modern simplicity fused with a dose of colour, happiness and boldness – a playful, everyday minimalism. Petra grew up in Finland where she spent her childhood putzing around in polka dots and stripes igniting a deep passion for bold patterns and textiles. Her teen years were spent traveling around the world and especially her time in Japan and Africa studying textiles left a lasting impression. Petra now lives in Vancouver, Canada.
